12 Angry MenTwelve Angry Men

Tickets are now on sale for MTVarts' fourth classics series production: Twelve Angry Men.  Hosted by Centerburg High School in its beautiful state-of-the-art theatre, this is one performance you won't want to miss! For more information on this performance please check out our website.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door:

12 Angry Men RehearsalA tense, engaging courtroom thriller, “12 Angry Men” focuses on a seemingly open-and-shut trial of a young Puerto Rican accused of murdering his father with a knife. The 12-man jury retires to their microscopic, sweltering quarters to decide the verdict. When the votes are counted, 11 men rule guilty, while one doubts the obvious. Stressing the idea of "reasonable doubt," this juror slowly chips away at the jury—exposing the prejudices and preconceptions that directly influence the other jurors' snap judgments. Directed by Sydney Lumet, the 1957 film starring Henry Fonda featured the tagline “Life is in their hands, and death is on their minds. It explodes like 12 sticks of dynamite.”

Kroger Community RewardsAside from a normal cash donation (we are a 501 (c) 3 organization, so all donations are tax deductible!), there are two exciting indirect ways that you can donate. First, we started Kroger Rewards a a little over a year ago and to date have earned over
$3,000 in the program. It is very simple to participate. Register your Kroger card at www.kroger.com. Once your account is created, login and choose “MTV Arts” as your community rewards organization. Then, just shop at your local Kroger store.

Shop at AmazonThe second program is simply shopping at Amazon.com. Before shopping, go to our website, www.mtvarts.com, click on Support MTVarts (on the left side). Then click on the Amazon advertisement and shop as normal. When you click on the link, a percentage of your order goes to MTVarts. Since starting this program in August, we have earned over $1,000!

Music has the power of producing a certain effect on the moral character of the soul, and if it has the power to do this, it is clear that the young must be directed to music and must be educated in it.
